I Give Thanks...

Greetings Citizens!

I reach out to wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!  This is not only the time to be grateful, every day we are given another opportunity to see a new day - we must be grateful.

I've heard, time is precious and it's slipping away and I've been waiting for you all of my life, wouldn't that be awesome if we said that about everyone we meet?

Honestly, I've been extremely blessed and I've loved and been loved.  I am embarking on a new relationship by chance and I'm willing to be OK with whatever comes from it.  This year, I want to let you know I am grateful to you and hope the very best for you all of your life.

Nobody wants to be lonely, so why, Why?  Why won't you let me love you?  :)

I do love you every last one of you!

The Truth of the Matter

Greeting Citizens!

I know it's been a long time since my last post, but I've been learning a lot about the world around me.  I think each day I'm given in life, I have grown in my experience, my ability to understand, I've learned patience, forgiveness, and truth.

After the events of today ending in a sigh of relief and understanding, the only words that right loudly in my head are the ones from the great Maya Angelou, “The first time someone shows you who they are, believe them.”

So, do know note this as it may save you from spending years trying to help someone who's lost their way and has genuinely no desire to move forward and overcome their demons.

May the glory of God fulfill each and every one of your lives from now through eternity.

One Love from above,

MJ

Driven

Greetings Citizens!

You all know there are many philosophies that I subscribe to in my life.  One method of thought I learned was back in 1997, from a brilliant man who was the first President of Nissan Motor Corporation USA and "Father of the Z-car," Yutaka Katayama.   His philosophy was simple, yet profound -

"Love cars.  Love People.  Love Life."

These are fundamentals that I completely agree with include in my life activities!  So, with that being said, may I introduce you all to my newest love and addition to my world.

I introduce you to my new car...

2011 Nissan Maxima SV

She is totally tricked out with great features and cool gadgets, including Nissan's Sports Package and Technology Package.  The new car has a rear backup camera, navigation, heated and cooled front seats, 18" alloy wheels, heated steering wheel, and double power moon roofs.   The Bose sound system also has a 9.5GB internal hard drive that allows me to upload CDs and DVDs to play on the navigation screen - that's pretty sick!

Please join me in celebrating the return of the 4-door sports car, commonly known as the Nissan Maxima with its 3.5L V6 engine creating 290hp pushed effortlessly to the front wheels.

Check ya later on the road of life and if you see a Dark Metallic Slate color flash shoot past you, it was probably me.

Peace 2 ya face,

MJ

New found Love...for the feet?

Greetings Citizens!

I apologize for being missing in action.  I've selfishly been wrapped up in my evolving world and have neglected you.  For my insensitivity, please accept my apologies.

Now, do you want to see my new found love?  May I introduce you to TSUBO (pronounced "sue-bow").  It's an American shoe company headquartered in Cali and they've been making sexy, yet comfortable kicks since 1997.

The name Tsubo is Japanese for "pressure point", but I prefer the word to mean "happiest when worn virtually everywhere".  Yeah, I know that's one hell of a translation for the word, but it's my story people, gosh!  LOL!

OK,  I can confidently say the shoes are sweet urban wear while proving awesome ergonomic support and actually being comfortable...less I forget, they're shockingly inexpensive too!!! What can I say, I'm a sucker for value and sadly addicted to shoes.  Yes, I know there are "people" for this issue, but one of those people better be a carpenter to build me more shoe-shelf space.

Here is my latest addition to my uncontrollably growing shoe collection (Tsubo Tacoma).  These shoes are so gangster; of course I had to get them in brown too.  What?  I gotta ensure my attire is matched appropriately!   Gosh! I have an image to uphold.  ;-)

All right, so check 'em out, Tsubo - you'll be totally impressed.

Peace 2 ya face,

MJ

Faith found in despair

If tomorrow is Judgment Day
And I'm standing on the front line
And the Lord asks me what I did with my life
I will say I spent it with you

Yesterday, Saturday 3:55pm PST, one of the world's best female vocalists Whitney Houston passed away at 48 years old. Initially, my reaction was of shock & awe. Denying the validity, thinking this can't be true...unfortunately, it was true.

Whitney is a musical icon. She was blessed with a moving and powerful voice. She was beautiful, talented, loving, and human. Despite her struggles and tribulations, the doubts and frustrations, she shared her gifted voice with the world and I am grateful to have enjoyed it.

As the years they pass us by,
We stay young through each other's eyes
And no matter how old we get
It's okay as long as I got you baby

I pray that I will be blessed to see another day and have the opportunity to share Whitney's gifts with future generations. People may say whatever they want about her; the truth is NONE of them who speak negatively about her actually knew her. I didn't know her personally, she never her inner life with her fans, the only thing she shared was her voice and we all must remember that.

'Cause your love is my love
And my love is your love
It would take an eternity to break us
And the chains of Amistad couldn't hold us

God, I ask you to bless Whitney's soul. I pray you welcome her into your kingdom, enjoy her voice as she joins in singing your praises and forgive her of her transgressions.

We all are guilty and unworthy of God's love & grace, but He still sees His glory in us and blesses us with the life we have to cherish. I ask us to be grateful, appreciative, and loving to each other as none of us is promised to see a new day. Whitney never got the chance to see today's sun, but her love is my love...music.

Love,

MJ
